September 26, 2024 — A young woman was driven into the St. Paul Planned Parenthood (PP) driveway by her mom. They stopped to receive literature.
The young woman was shy, yet curious to know if we were in favor of abortion or not. I told her every baby’s life is special and a gift from God to be treasured. I pointed out that this is an abortion facility and many babies are killed here daily.
The PP escort then urged them to get moving. The young woman softly said, “Can I ask you a question?” I quickly went closer. She said, “I don’t have any support and am in a very bad living situation. Wouldn’t that be a reason to have an abortion?” I told her we can help her find the support she needs. The escort insisted that they move on. I told the woman I have more to share and to please come and talk before going in.
This woman and her mother came to talk after parking their car. She was tearful and revealed she didn’t want to have an abortion. She felt she had no choice as she was living with “a monster.”
Her plan was to have an abortion. We talked longer about her situation and spoke hopefully about the support she could receive. Other pro-life supporters and counselors were in prayer for her. They shared loving and hope-filled words with her as well.
She decided to meet me at Abria, the Pregnancy Resource Center nearby. There she connected with the staff. They set up an ultrasound appointment for next week. She really wants to see her baby and is excited about this event! We shared our contact information. Then she met with two wonderful Abria staff members for an initial contact.
In a follow-up call later that day, my new friend shared that she would definitely be keeping her baby! She found hope and strength to move forward with her precious little one. When asked what made her change her mind to save her baby, she just said that “the conversation on the sidewalk was Life-Changing!” God bless this woman as she’s chosen life for her little one. It is great to be a part of a team whose focus is to join God where He’s at work! Praise the Lord!
