This Baby Saved situation had more prayer warriors than I have seen in a while and we needed them all. This past Saturday, September 14, a group of prayer warriors called Life-Runners walked from the Cathedral of St. Mary in Fargo to the abortion facility in Moorhead (Red River Women’s Clinic). They carried a sign saying, “Remember the Unborn”.
That banner is being carried as part of the North leg of a massive relay that is forming a giant cross on America. We had about 50 people pray on the sidewalk once they arrived, and I truly believe that we needed every last one of them for this battle.
Jump ahead to Wednesday morning (abortion day in Moorhead). There were two women who drove into the clinic in quick succession, both in tears, both stopped for literature. I texted the full prayer group to pray for both women. Ten minutes later someone came in with her window down asking for help for her friend. She said she didn’t want to be there but she was so afraid not to go through with it. The mom came out, talked to her friend, then went back in.
Several men that are normally there in the afternoon showed up and hit their knees on the sidewalk, as did I. I also texted my mom to alert her prayer group, and then I reached out to my homeschool coop for prayers. I just felt like this mom was going to need it.
She came back out of the facility and sat in the friend’s car crying. The friend tried to drive out of the parking lot, but the mom stopped her. We continued to pray for 20 minutes, still on our knees on the cement, while they kept talking.
Sidewalk counselors in our group chat reached out to their Bible studies and other friends. By the end we had close to 200 people praying for this mom.
Mom finally got into her own car and drove out of the parking lot. She pulled over to the side of the road and thanked us all for being there. She also thanked God for us and for her baby, and asked where to find the help our signs mentioned. She went straight from the abortion facility to the Women’s Care Center, thankful that she won’t be going through this pregnancy alone.
