Keynote Speaker: Troy Newman, President Operation Rescue
We are excited to welcome our Annual Life Banquet keynote speaker, Troy Newman, adopted at birth and raised in San Diego, he has championed and fought tirelessly on behalf of the unborn for 34 years!
As President of Operation Rescue, Troy is widely recognized for his innovative strategies, bold leadership, and fearless defense of the unborn. His efforts have resulted in the permanent closure of hundreds of abortion mills, led dozens of abortionists to leave the abortion industry, spared countless babies from abortion, along with lives changed through the unwavering Gospel conviction and public offering of Jesus Christ.
Troy served as a founding board member of the Center for Medical Progress, the group behind the explosive undercover video series exposing Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in fetal remains. His work in that effort led to legal battles that resulted in a civil RICO judgment of over $18 million — a price he paid for his courageous stand for truth!
Troy’s efforts have garnered national and international attention, with features in Rolling Stone, GQ, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, WND.com, and countless other media outlets. He is a regular guest on radio and television programs and spent ten years co-hosting Life Talk, a monthly video news magazine.
A prolific writer and communicator, Troy is the author of four books: Their Blood Cries Out, Am I Now Your Enemy for Telling You the Truth, Refocusing the Pro-Life Movement for Victory, and Abortion Free.
In 2006, Troy bought and closed ‘Central Women’s Services’, an abortion facility in Wichita, Kansas. He evicted the abortionist, completely renovated the building with much prayer, and established Operation Rescue’s national headquarters on-site, along with being a memorial to the unborn children killed by abortion!
Troy and his wife, Mellissa, homeschooled their five children on a small farm in Kansas and now enjoy life as grandparents to seven grandchildren. In his spare time, Troy enjoys hunting, ranching, gardening, and holds two black belts in martial arts.
