Internet Resources for Sidewalk Counselors

More information and tips on sidewalk counseling – SIDEWALKCOUNSEL.ORG

Our brochures are a great place to start for facts and testimonies to share on the sidewalk, and can be used to facilitate conversation. To help you expand on that content, we have compiled the following resources:

  1. Help Available
    1. Pregnancy Resource Centers Provide Millions in Free Services: (brief summary from Live Action of the impact PRCs have had in the U.S. and around the world)

               See especially:

  • Video 2: Family served by Wakota (grandparents, mother, and four granddaughters)
    • Video 7: Man and children served by Wakota’s resources and Good Father Program
  • Humanity of the Child
  • The Endowment for Human Development: (superb photos and videos of fetal development) Click on “Movie Theater” and “Image Gallery”.

Sadly, this baby had been removed (ectopic pregnancy) and did not survive. Perhaps you can have this video available on your phone to show abortion clients while you are sidewalk counseling.  If the video is no longer available on-line, you can get an MP4 file by sending an e-mail to:

  • Harm of Abortion
    • Abortion Procedures: (Narrated by former abortionists, these brief, animated but medically accurate videos show how abortions are committed and list possible complications for the mother.)
  • What the abortion pill can be like for the woman: (Powerful 3-minute abortion pill scene from the movie “Unplanned”)
  • St. Paul, MN Planned Parenthood would break neck of abortion survivor:

(Ten-week- old baby aborted by abortion pill died in mother’s hand.)

Additional Resources:

  • Babies Saved by Sidewalk Counselors: (learn how particular children have been saved through the years by sidewalk counselors like you)
  • “Spiritual Foundations of Sidewalk Counseling”: Inspiring 36-minute talk by Frank Pavone at the 2011 National Sidewalk Counseling Symposium. This presentation is well worth your time!
  • Sidewalk counselor’s testimony before U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee: Eleanor McCullen is a long-time sidewalk counselor and the plaintiff in a 2014 free speech case, McCullen v. Coakley, in which the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 9-0 decision, upheld the right of sidewalk counselors to talk to women freely outside of abortion centers.
