A Decisive Turn-Away!

On November 1,  at around 1:00 p.m., a couple drove into the entrance of the St. Paul Planned Parenthood and stopped for the volunteer sidewalk counselor.  She handed them the literature and the driver took it.  His female passenger was looking dejected with her head down.

The sidewalk counselor told them about the free resources available at Abria, the nearby pregnancy center.  The man said, “We’re not ready for this!”  The sidewalk counselor assumed he meant they weren’t ready to have a baby.  So she said, “If she’s pregnant, you’re already the parents of this child.  This is your son or daughter.  Don’t let them take the life of your child.”

She told them again about the free resources available at Abria and urged them to go there instead.  Next, the man said, “We can’t do this again, we’re going to Abria!”  He quickly backed out of the entrance and headed to Abria.

The sidewalk counselor said that unfortunately, she didn’t get any more information, but she asked us to please pray that this couple would be firm in choosing life for this child and supportive of one another, establishing a good marital relationship for this child if they don’t have it already.
